Smith Wigglesworth once said, “One word from Him can change a nation.” As I read that quote I began to pray for this nation. This is the word that I received.
You say with your mouth, but you do not do. You stand with your voice, but you do not do. I have heard the cries of selfishness and desires long enough. I have heard of the killings of My people, My people, without a voice to be heard. This nation cries out for yourself but not for those that are voiceless. My word says to go out to the needy, the fatherless, and the poor. You throw a few coins at a deceiver on the corner begging and think you have helped the poor. I am a God of all nations, of all people, not just this nation. You cry out for this nation while you let My people, My people, suffer persecution, execution, and torture. You turn your heads and say, “Save this nation,” but this nation tells me to remove Myself from it. You put in office those that have no moral foundation and speak pompous words. You have been given a gift as no other to elect, to put in office, those that would stand for Me and My ways, yet you vote for yourself and your own desires. I hear the cry of martyrs. I hear the cry of those searching for Me. I hear the cry of the righteous in heart, but I close my ears to you oh nation that would not stand for Me and the gifts I have given. One word from Me can change a nation, but do you truly want change, or do you want continued compromise and evil to rule? I have set before you blessings and curses which plate do you take from? Oh nation of blessings and curses what plate do you take from?
I know many other prophets believe that judgment is here, and there is no turning back for America. I myself have not received a word of no turning around. The Lord has only spoken to me to fight to change this nation. Therefore I must believe that we have an opportunity even yet to get that one word from God that could change this nation. But as the Lord gave me this word I felt the door was closing, and if we did not take from the plate of blessing in this hour there will be no turning around for this nation. Hardships are coming one way or the other, but through these hardships will we rise again from the ashes?
I believe this is a pivotal point in time for the United States of America. We choose as a nation to take from the plate of blessings, or to take from the plate of curses. Our God still hears the prayers of a righteous man and woman and they still avail much. We must continue to fight and to pray as if we could change the destiny of this land!
Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. James 5:16-18
