A Valley of Dry Bones
Ezekiel Chapter 37
1 The Lord took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the Lord to a valley filled with bones. 2 He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out. 3 Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?”
“O Sovereign Lord,” I replied, “you alone know the answer to that.”
4 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to these bones and say, ‘Dry bones, listen to the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Look! I am going to put breath into you and make you live again! 6 I will put flesh and muscles on you and cover you with skin. I will put breath into you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”
As I read the versus above today the Lord is speaking to my spirit about the days we live in. I know I have questioned if these bones left in the United States can live again, as a feeling of darkness coming across the land overtakes many of us in prayer.
We see a government tearing apart our nation and coming against the true Christians that will not bow to their anti-Christ spirit. A once great nation that the Lord blessed and built a hedge of protection around has come down. As I was driving to work on December 11th, 2008 the Lord showed me, in a vision, the entire United States. Around the United States was a large hedge, and He told me this country was protected by this hedge He had put around it. The Lord said, "At the change of government that hedge would start coming down." As I watched in this vision I could see the hedge slowly coming down.
7 So I spoke this message, just as he told me. Suddenly as I spoke, there was a rattling noise all across the valley. The bones of each body came together and attached themselves as complete skeletons. 8 Then as I watched, muscles and flesh formed over the bones. Then skin formed to cover their bodies, but they still had no breath in them.
Many Christians today appear to be standing upright, but I wonder is there any breath left in them! They appear as confused as the world. We have pushed out of our churches the Holy Spirit that gives us the breath of life. We try to bring dead bones back to life without the Holy Spirit. It is only by the Holy Spirit that these dead bones can live again. I cry out to my Father in heaven today to not take His Spirit from us, but you Holy Spirit to fill us with the breath of life again that we can stand against the darkness that invades the land.
9 Then he said to me, “Speak a prophetic message to the winds, son of man. Speak a prophetic message and say, ‘This is what the SovereignLord says: Come, O breath, from the four winds! Breathe into these dead bodies so they may live again.’”
10 So I spoke the message as he commanded me, and breath came into their bodies. They all came to life and stood up on their feet—a great army.
Let there be once again a great awakening of Your body; Your church to see that we stand with bones, flesh, muscle and skin, but we have not the breath of the Holy Spirit within us that we need in these days to be "A Great Army".
11 Then he said to me, “Son of man, these bones represent the people of Israel. They are saying, ‘We have become old, dry bones—all hope is gone. Our nation is finished.’ 12 Therefore, prophesy to them and say, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I will open your graves of exile and cause you to rise again. Then I will bring you back to the land of Israel. 13 When this happens, O my people, you will know that I am the Lord. 14 I will put my Spirit in you, and you will live again and return home to your own land. Then you will know that I, the Lord, have spoken, and I have done what I said. Yes, the Lord has spoken!’”
The bones in Ezekiel represent the people of Israel, but as in the days of Ezekiel I see many of us crying out today, is all hope gone? Is our nation finished?
My Word from the Lord:
This nation will never look as it did when it stood for righteousness, because righteousness has not been found in it any longer. The few that stand will rise again. The few that fight will fight again, but this nation has sold itself to depravity and it will face judgment for it. But I say, I hear the cries of My people. Those that truly desire to hear My voice and long to save this nation from destruction. Your prayers and tears have not fallen to the ground. This hedge of protection will surround My own. Although the hedge has fallen on the United States, this hedge remains around My people. Those that know Me and truly seek after Me. I will put My breath in you once again, and this army will arise from the land of dead bones to speak with the power of the Holy Spirit behind it. It will be clear and precise. It will be a voice heard around the world. The great Army of God. A nation will fall, but a people will rise from the ashes and these dead bones shall live again to usher in the final days of the end of all time.
