As I was studying yesterday for Sunday sermon on healing I was looking up scriptures and Acts 2:22 just stuck out to me from a reference. Of course the 222 caught my eye since the Lord has been giving me triple digits for the last couple of years. I turned to Acts 2:22 and read it.
Acts 2:22 Men of Israel, hear these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested by God to you by miracles, wonders, and signs which God did through Him in your midst, as you yourselves also know- [NKJV]
It was amazing how this verse was tied into what I have been hearing from the Lord. We see this verse following the quote from Joel in verses 17-21 about the last days where God says, "I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh... "
In my last 2 blogs I shared of the triple digits and searching for their meaning. Dr. Patricia Green giving a word if you have been seeing triple digits to get ready for His manifest presence. I also received a word from the Lord that what is ahead is frightening and He needed us to see the darkness to prepare for it and now He needs us to see the light to prepare for the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit.
I believe the Lord is telling us we are stepping into a new time of His manifestations of miracles, signs, and wonders. What is ahead is frightening whether it is economic collapse, war, or martial law. This is a very volatile time. We will all need the manifestations of the Holy Spirit to protect us, and guide us through these times. When He gives us manna, or gems, or gold it may very well be to help us along the way. It maybe our faith needs a boost, or financially we need supernatural funding, or we need food to eat as in the days of Moses in the wilderness.
How do we prepare for the manifestation of the Holy Spirit? We must build our faith to believe.
Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the substance [realization] of things hoped for, the evidence [confidence] of things not seen.
If you have a husband or wife that gets home about 5pm each day and you're in charge of dinner for the night, if your spouse is faithful and always shows up after work, you start dinner before they get home knowing they are coming. You prepare for their arrival with confidence they will be there. But if your spouse is not faithful, and has not come home after work multiple times, you may prepare that dinner a little different. You start cooking when they show up or with a hope they will show up. Key words here are a hope not a confidence.
The Lord is forever faithful and will always show up when we ask Him to. He does things His way and not ours, but He shows up! We need to start asking Him to show up and expecting Him then to show up. We need to start cooking the meal, setting the table, and maybe even get dressed up waiting for His arrival!
There is a change in the atmosphere. In the midst of darkness there shall be light; in the midst of chaos there shall be peace; in the midst of famine there shall be abundance.
The church will never be the same! God is shifting something in the atmosphere!
Be blessed today and expect God to do something in your life with a confidence that He always does!
