John 11:41 – 43 Then they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me." Now when He had said these things, He cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus come forth!"
This is such an important key of prayer for each one of us! If you are a believer and a follower of Jesus Christ of Nazareth do you know that the Father in heaven hears your prayers? In my prayer time I will often say, "Father I know you hear me; I know that You always hear me." I say these words to remind myself that my Father in heaven will hear my prayer. Whether the answer is yes, no or not now, I know he has heard me. Just knowing He has heard me gives me a certainty that everything will be all right.
In Mark Chapter 15 and verse 34 it says in the ninth hour that Jesus cried out with a loud voice as he hung on the cross saying, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?" There was one time in the life of the Messiah that his Father forsook Him and did not hear nor answer His prayer.
Hebrews 4:15 For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.
You see God walked on this earth in the flesh, as a man, and was tempted as we are tempted. Jesus even felt the separation of God.
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus...............That He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
One day we will die and we will be eternally with our Father, or we will be eternally separated from God. Jesus has already gone before us and He knows our fears, and He knows our weaknesses. He even knows the separation that we will face one day if we are not saved by His blood that He shed on Calvary. Hebrews chapter 4 goes on to say in verse 16, "Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."
There is an assurance that God hears your prayers when you are a believer and a follower of His Son. You may not get the answer you desire; you may not get the answer right away; but you can be assured that he has heard your prayer, and He always hears your prayers! Amen!
