My Word 12/8/08
Truly looking for Me in all things, and you will see Me there. I am here, right beside you; I hear every word; I know every thought; I live with in you, and I never leave you.
Are my people living to honor their King who is in their presence at all times? I do not enter only the church doors. I am at thy side watching. As you sleep I watch over you; as you awake I wait to hear your voice. I long to have communion with you throughout the day. But I am forgotten by My people. They live as if I do not see them; they talk as if I do not hear them; they walk their path as if I did not lay its very foundation for them. I am the one that does not let them stumble. I am the one that holds them up.
If you cannot see Me in your everyday life working then how can we be close? You will only come to Me when you feel you need Me, but I need you also. I need you to learn, know, understand, seek wisdom, and understand what I am doing through you, so you can accomplish much. If you only work as you need Me, what good is that? I need you to work as I need you. In the now, in this very moment. This is a covenant. We are partners, working together. See Me in all things for this is My desire. Draw close unto Me in every second of every minute, and you will begin to see Me as never before.
As I was praying yesterday the Lord led me to this word He had given me back in 2008. It touched my heart and I pray it touched yours. As I read, 'as you awake I wait to hear your voice,' I thought how wonderful that the God of all things waits to hear my voice. That we have such a close relationship, and He loves me so much, that He desires to hear from me.
We can get very confused in our flesh with a covenant partner that is so awesome, mighty, and powerful that we tend to want to use the relationship and make the Lord our personal genie, or we want Him to advance what we call 'our ministry'. We get something in our head that we desire to do for ministry and we would like the Lord to join us and bless us mightily in it.
Our Lord has a master plan, and He needs us to work to accomplish what He desires to get done. Could He do it without us? Absolutely! But He chose to work through us. What an honor He has given us.
Ask the Lord today what you can do for Him!
