Experts gathered in Nevada to meet in reference to the massive earthquakes that happened in Ecuador and Japan. There is a major earthquake overdue at the California-Nevada line and concerns are heightened. They are again warning households to have months of food and water stored up in their homes. Remember stores are sold out within an hour of a disaster.
Please pray for these countries that our suffering in these disastrous times. Ecuador is in disarray with the loss of life, the injured, collapse of many buildings and the looting happening. There are food and water shortages for those in the areas affected.
Jesus warned us in scripture what we would see as the end-times approach.
Luke 21:7 So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”...... 9. But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”10. Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven."
Jesus warns us as to prepare us and to not live in fear, but to pray and hear from the Holy Spirit as He guides us through these storms. These things must take place and also will come more and more frequently. The bible talks of these things as labor pains. Labor begins with contractions far apart, and as the delivery time gets closer so does the labor pains.
We as Christians want to be prepared and ready to help others. Talk with your families and encourage them to stock up on enough food and water to make it in their homes if disaster would hit for at least 30 days. The experts recommend months at this time. Remember once disaster hits, if it is in your area, it's too late to warn them.
We as Christians should be a step ahead of the events happening around us, because we are listening to our Father in heaven, as He guides us through the Holy Spirit.
I want to pray for you today that no fear will come upon you. That you will be prepared in these uncertain times. That ears will open to hear what you are saying in these warnings to families and friends. I pray that your ears will be open to hear from the Holy Spirit as He directs you and helps you in these troubling times. I pray your unsaved loved ones will be open to the gospel as never before, and you will be ready to share the Good News of salvation. Amen
Panic is not the answer, but being prepared is. We may not know every detail about what is to come, but we can see the signs of the times that the Lord warned us of, and take action. We can do our part! Then we leave the rest to our Heavenly Father to take care of us.
