Isaiah 42:22 But this is a people robbed and plundered; All of them are snared in holes, and they are hidden in prison houses; they are for prey, and no one delivers; for plunder, and no one says, “Restore!”
Joel 3:3 They have cast lots for My people, have given a boy for payment for a harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.
On April 12th 2010, the Lord spoke this word to me: Great are the rewards of the faithful; faithful in dry places as well as when the river is flowing. Woe to those who persecute My church for theirs is judgment. Love My church, take care of My church, speak to My church. They seek Me and they will find Me. Many situations have brought about pain and discomfort, but through pain and discomfort, My people rise up and become strong in Me. They have been lax and lazy in My ways. Enjoying the pleasures and avoiding the cause. The cause of the church is to bring the lost to Me. To pray and intercede, to look outside the walls for those hurting, lonely, afraid, abused, forgotten, and left to die in their own sin. Do not abandon My creation. Do not! I weep for those who seek Me but they cannot find Me because My face appears to them through My church, and My people. Where are you that they cannot find you? They are home in their secure houses on their comfortable furniture with their bellies full and their lives satisfied. I will rip out from under them their comforts to bring them to the streets to reach My creation. I will not forget one for the purpose of offering comfort to another. Know Me and know I am God the Creator.
I asked the Lord, “What can we the church do Lord?”
Seek Me, pray to Me, intercede for the lost, gather for the needy, open your hearts and your homes for those that need fellowship and love. Look, seek and you shall find. Hunger after righteousness and you shall be satisfied. Thirst for the water of life not only to drink of it but to let it saturate your soul as to flow over to others. I am coming soon, do not sit in your comfort and let Me pass you by. -------
As we sit home on our couches and relax and watch our big screen TVs, every day in our nation people are being trafficked, beaten, raped, deceived and killed without our knowledge of it.
Modern day slavery is thriving around the world. There are more slaves today than in any time in history. How can this be?
Our children and adults are inundated with sex messages and exploitation on a daily basis. Even if we are very careful parents to protect the eyes, ears and minds of our children, as soon as they walk out the door they enter a world that is fallen, and blinded in so many ways to what they are doing to our society. As adults we must be able to endure technology that blasts us with sexual innuendos. As Christian men walk down the street, get on the computer, and even walk into our churches, they must look away or look down to remain loyal to their wives and loyal to their Lord.
Human sex trafficking is now considered the 2nd largest and fastest growing illegal trafficking activity in the world. The average age of entry into prostitution in the U.S. is 13 years old.
Over 400,000 will attempt suicide this year in the U.S and 37,000 will succeed.
41% of all births are to unmarried women.
47% of families said pornography is a problem in their home. 50% of Christian men are addicted to pornography and 20% of Christian women.
There is an estimate of 650,000 homeless with the largest increase in families by 4% in 2011.
Men and women will sell themselves for $10 or $20 dollars to eat, pay their motel bill, or buy their next fix.
Families will gather around a bus stop as their shelter for the evening.
American government is in chaos; right appears wrong and wrong appears right. It is as if they have eyes but they do not see; they have ears but they do not hear.
Prisons are overflowing with men, women, and children and we are unable to continue housing them.
What is going on? Statistics are rising and the hurt and broken are increasing, homes are being destroyed.
Tomorrow I will write about experiences my team, Hard Truth Ministry, have faced in the inner city as we hit the streets to share the love of Christ. The accounts are real experiences as my husband, Rich, and I started a street ministry that would change our Christian walk and our teams, and open our eyes to a world we never dreamed existed. A world that many chose and many were just modern day slaves, and had no choice.
Be a blessing today to someone, somewhere that needs Jesus!
