My Word 5/31/12
Prayer is your communion, your relationship with Me. Prayer takes you where your feet cannot. Prayer fills the atmosphere with words of fire. Prayer is your weapon of warfare. Prayer releases angels to war on your behalf. You ask, "Why must I ask?" Because you are made in the image of God. You were created for communion and relationship. As an obedient servant you must ask Me to move on your behalf, because then we are one. I do not force myself on My own. Your salvation is free, but you ask. The relationship starts at the time of salvation. Guidance will come; direction will be given, but you must ask. Asking frees Me to move. Satan the accuser will accuse you and try to destroy you if the relationship is only from one way. It is by the covenant, the partaking of My body that we become one, and then no weapon formed, by Satan for your personal destruction will prosper. Asking is a root word of petitioning. Your petitions go before the Great Throne and they are spoken out as commands to the archangels to go and battle for My glory......
Looking back on this word it reminds me how much more I should be praying to release angels on my behalf. It is about the communion with my Father, my Savior, and my Comforter that I need to always keep open. Covenant is a two sided relationship. We do have a part in this relationship. When we stay in prayer and seek our Father's face, we ask for His will. His will becomes our will. The worldly things become unimportant. Our eyes become more and more aware of the eternal things in prayer.
Do you know that when the bible says, "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." Satan has a weapon that he is forming for you personally. It is molded and shaped just for you. He takes our personal situations and he studies them to form weapons to destroy us. Prayer is what stops him in his tracks. On our knees in prayer is where we get the strategies to overcome any plot to destroy us.
