Well I survived my first blog radio talk show. I did not know what to expect and when he just turned it over to me I was stunned and totally scared! I babbled on for a while and then he joined in and I felt much more comfortable. The exciting thing is the Lord gives us confirmations for what He is telling us. I love that! So listening to others and their dreams and prophetic words always help us to prepare for what is ahead. God is never taken by surprise and we should not be either. He is still speaking today through His people and confirms His words.
Acts 1:4-8 (NLT) In one of these meetings as He was eating a meal with them, He told them, “Do not leave Jerusalem until the Father sends you what He promised. Remember I have told you about this before. John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” When the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking Him, “Lord are you going to free Israel now and restore our kingdom?” “The Father sets those dates,” He replied, “and they are not for you to know. But when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about Me everywhere—in Jerusalem, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
The promise of the Father, Jesus spoke of the Holy Spirit as a promise to us. This baptism would be with power from on high. It would make us strong witnesses for Him. They were expecting a king that would come and conquer in war and authority and Jesus gave them a king that would rule from our hearts. God uses us to accomplish His will. The Holy Spirit is who empowers us to go out and be that bold witness to the world.
